Uluru

Uluru, better known as Ayer's rock is one of the great geological phenomena. We saw it at sunrise and sunset, we had a session with an aboriginal guide and we were there for the average 36 hours (there is not a lot to do!). Temperatures were over 40 c and we met pople who live in the same village as us; they bought the house that people who owned our house (stuart and Eve Thomas) bought when they sold our house! Watch out Arthur Koestler! One of the girls in the family photographed the rock on her mobile to text her friends and really p**s them off. We did not climb the rock, many people do, but we did see a fabulous sunset.
