The Lanes go to Washington

Plus California, Chicago, Illinois, North Calorina, and Baltimore

This September we decided to visit all our friends in the US who kept saying we ought to go and see them soon.

First we went to California to see  John and Tessa Ennals

We went to Carmel (town motto ;how much?;), Monterey, Napa, Stamford and of course  the Golden Gate Bridge

Next we visited the Whighams in Illinois

followed by a trip to Chicago where the architecture was breathtaking

We visited Charles in Fayetville in time for Hurricane Isabella and a few downed trees

Our last stop was Baltimore and Washington

Baltimore has a magnificent museum of art whilst Washington has a few buildings and monuments
