CHUTNEY CLUB VISIT BERLIN

Over May Bank Holiday the Chutney Club visited Berlin. Several of our members were familiar with the city and hence gave us a good idea of the best places to visit. Margaret has now stood in the queue to visit the Reichstag three times without ever getting through the door!
Bud and Isobel have actually been inside the Reichstag and say it is well worth a visit (rats!)
Apart from being rather cold to begin the trip was extremely pleasant with the requisite number of good places to eat and drink. Noone tried the hotel's Long Island Tea, this consisted of a pint glass containing a small amount of fruit juice and a gigantic amount of alcohol. A group of celebrating Bayern Munich fans were into their second when we went to bed on our first night. After they left we all got full size bedrooms, our only other mishap being a tour of the Severn valley around Gloucester on our way home!
